The "How To Choose a Speargun" Series: Episode 0

Purchasing a speargun can be confusing—there are so many options available. Ordering a custom speargun can be even more overwhelming. At least with big-box spearguns, you get a set of preconfigured options. Those setups may work well enough, but with the right knowledge, you can work with your custom speargun builder to create the perfect setup for your hunting style, your local waters, and your target species.

In the following series, I’ll discuss the various options available when purchasing a speargun, the trade-offs associated with each, and how those choices affect performance. My goal is to help you become a more informed and confident buyer, whether you're picking a speargun off the rack or planning a custom build with a speargun maker.
