Learn To Dive, Safer and Deeper!
Ocean State Speargun's owner and craftsman Matt Novakovich is not only passionate about spearguns and spearfishing, but also about educating divers on how to dive safer and more efficient. He has recently completed his FII (Freediving Instructors International) Level 1 Instructor course and will be offering lessons here in Rhode Island.
Whether a beginner diver, or a seasoned spearo looking to refine their technique, this course will help you master the fundamentals of freediving, and reinforce the fundamentals of safe diving.

Course Goals
During this course students train the fundamentals of the FII education system in an easy-to-learn course format operating between the classroom, pool and open water setting. With a high emphasis on freedive safety training and technique development, students master the proper skills to effectively freedive up to depths of 66 feet/20 meters.
